Cecily “Michele” Seipp passed away on the morning of November 9, 2021 in Beverly Hills due to a pulmonary embolism and cardiac arrest. She was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1959, and grew up in Los Alamitos, CA, graduating from UCLA with a degree in English.
Michele was a beloved member of the Temple Emanuel congregation and community and was involved in the Sisterhood and intergenerational choir.
Michele loved all things relating to nature and old TV shows and films. She had an exhibition of her insect artwork at Liz’s Loft in 2010.
Michele had a supporting role in the 80’s film The Blue Iguana, and worked as a creative copywriter for several brands, and contributed editorials and artwork for the LA Times and other publications.
Michele found joy in the “ minutiae of everyday life.” Every day was an adventure. She preferred to live in the moment. May her memory be a blessing. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 21 at 12:30PM at Mt. Sinai in Simi Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, or to your local animal shelter.
Michele is survived by her stepfather Art, aunt Gyl, niece Maia, and several beloved cousins.
