Michele Santiago, 52 , of Hoover, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on the evening of April 30, 2022. She was adored by her family and loved ones. Her artistic talents will be forever longed for in the community.

Michele was an obvious artist from a very young age, with music and theatre being a key part of her life. She was an activist for the LGBTQ community and a family for all of her adopted kids. Michele also found herself involved in a number of other hobbies, including various theatre groups, various dance groups,  various choirs and was involved in every event she could dedicate herself to in order to give back to the community around the city of Birmingham.  With a large family and even larger group of friends, her loss is truly and deeply felt.

Michele was predeceased by her father Ernesto Santiago, and sister in law Heather Santiago. She is survived by her mother Adorable Mapes, step father Forest Mapes, step mother Tessie Santiago, brother Patrick Santiago, sister Anne Santiago, sister Jennifer DeJesus, Daughter Tabitha Sanders, and Daughter Lucenda  Sanders, and son in law Benjamin Schreiner, and Son in Law Channing Brodie.
