I think about Patsy so often and recall all the good times we shared. I will always have an image in my mind's eye: Patsy throwing back her head and laughing. She had such a gift for finding humor in even the darkest moments. Love you always, my frined!

I think of my dear friend Patsy almost every day. Poetry slamming rebel who could make a punch bowl fill with cocktails and a room fill with wisdom at the same time. We went stride for stride in our most evolutionary era as educators and she never let me miss a step.
Years later, in her weakest hours, she remained a laser like mind of wit and grit and again, despite her softened gate, she took the time to strengthen me when I needed it most.
That was her parting gift.
Today, her double nickel birthday, I hoist a glass to say cheers and send out some prayers for having had such an amazing comrade and peer.
I miss you Patsy, thank you for everything. I hope you’re having a beautiful birthday watching over us all.

I don't recall I ever saw Michele without a smile. I'm sure she didn't smile all the time, but that's how I remember her. I loved her sense of humor. My favorite memory is when she left cookie crumbs on my seat at a parent-teacher conference dinner. From that point on, I called her Cookies. Michele I miss you.

Patsy is laughter . Big heart felt laughter. Poetry and paintings that just made sense. Dancing, drinking tea, people who allowed me to share what she saw and how. She was up for anything. Long distance drives that inspired me to do the same. ❤️
