Micheal's obituary

Michael Anthony Fenderson, a United States Marine, public servant, and devoted supporter of those he loved, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 41.
He served his country with honor, completing two deployments to Iraq. His time in the military reflected a deep sense of duty, resilience, and commitment—qualities that continued to define him throughout his life.
Following his service, Michael dedicated many years as a correctional officer, working in a demanding and often difficult environment. He carried this responsibility with strength and perseverance, often bearing the weight of that work quietly.
He was someone who gave—consistently and without expectation. He supported those around him, remained loyal to his family, and extended care even when it was not always returned in equal measure.
In recent years, Michael faced significant physical and emotional challenges, including heart failure, ongoing health issues, and the lasting impact of trauma. Despite these burdens, he remained determined to reclaim his health, build something meaningful, and create a new life for himself in San Diego. He carried a vision of growth, independence, and building his own empire—one that reflected both his ambition and his desire for a fresh start.
Michael died by suicide after a long and difficult battle with both physical illness and emotional trauma. His passing is a reminder of the weight that invisible struggles can carry, even for those who appear strong on the outside.
He was more than the hardships he endured. He was a man of depth, resilience, and complexity—shaped by service, persistence, and an enduring drive to move forward.
He is remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and the impact he had on those who truly knew him.
May he be at peace.
