Michael Wood, aka Mike, was a simple man who loved Jesus, his family and America, too. Born in Utah, but, raised in the LB,  Mike was 100%  energetic and full of life every single day. Mike never sat still and never stopped talking. He was the type of guy who went everywhere and did everything and had so many stories to tell -none of them boring or believable,  but somehow always turned out to be true.  He was a west coast waterman who grew  up surfing and fishing on the daily and absolutely loved the ocean and the sunshine . He was especially fond of sunrises on the ocean sitting on a boat with nothing else around him for miles. He woke up at the crack of dawn daily and made tons of noise every morning .  He was a young man with an old soul, who loved old people, reading boring hunting newspapers and hated social media. He loved antiques, the Angels, trucks and tattoos. Mike liked camping, reggae music and drinking beer. He also loved gardening, taking care of his chickens, drinking a tall can in the morning and watching "his friends" on KTLA news. He loved garage sales on Saturdays, church on Sundays and the Dollar Tree every day. He liked lottery tickets and loved being blue collar. He was an old skool type of guy who yelled at everything & everyone and threw things frequently but 5 minutes later forgot it all ever happened. Mike said whatever was on his mind, and as Luke would say, had- “no chill”. He was a crazy, wild boy who grew up to be a stand up kind of guy.  He loved being a husband, dad, family man and provider.  A good dude, who watched out for his neighbors, loved his wife and  called his Grandma every Tuesday. Mike lived to help others and always put others first. He found Jesus in 2012, loved God and accredited him with everything good in his life ..he tried to live and be better everyday. His last day on this earth was spent cutting the grass, drinking beer, chatting with neighbors and listening to Too Rude. That was him.❤️ ❤️ You will be terribly missed Mike, we love you so much.
