Michael's obituary

Michael “Mick” Wisniewski, 70, a loving husband, brother, uncle and grand uncle to many nieces and nephews passed away on April 15th, 2025. Born on July 27, 1954 to the late Stanley and Dorothy (Henderson) Wisniewski in Gary, IN. Mick was the 5th child in a family of 5 children.

Mick is preceded in death by his brothers William Wisniewski and Joseph Wisniewski.

In 1995 he married his loving wife, Virginia (Ginny) Koski. Ginny and Mick made their home in Northridge, California. He is also survived by 2 of his 4 brothers, Stanley (Wanda) Weston and Richard (Wanda) Wescott.

Mick graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary in 1972. He later attended Indiana University, Bloomington, majoring in Fine Art & UCLA Computer Graphics/Graphic Design Extension Program. Mick was a musician who loved to paint as well as create art guitars and computer graphics. He worked at Cerritos College where he was a Multimedia Production Specialist for 13 years. He is remembered for his great faith, sweet nature, positive outlook, sense of humor and fun. Most importantly, he was always there to lend a hand to others in need. His sense of compassion was great and his presence in this world is greatly missed.

There will be a Celebration of Life gathering in Northridge, CA on June 7th. Attendance to this event is limited to immediate family and a few close friends by invitation only.
