It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Dowett, a compassionate and very intellectual soul who left us too soon. Born on October 22, 1994, Michael departed from us on August 28, 2023. His charismatic personality, gentle nature, and enlightened insights will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Dina Khalil, his brother, Mason Khalil, both of who deeply cherish the deep and unique bond they each shared with Michael. Melissa Haberek, his aunt. Michael's cousin, Ryan Haberek, and his grandparents Jerry and Donna Marshalek, and Dan Dowett, mourn the loss of their beloved family member.

He was predeceased by his father, William "Billy" Dowett, and his grandmother, Doris Dowett. Their love and wisdom continue to live within Michael's kin.

A true bearer of love and light, Michael's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. He was a reservoir of knowledge, always eager to share the benefits of meditation, yoga and a healthy lifestyle. Michael was passionate about exploring in nature, his never ending thirst for knowledge, expanding his consciousness, health, weightlifting and uplifting those in times of struggle, despite his own, a testament to his loving soul. His contributions to the world and his impact on individual lives were profound, making the world a little bit brighter.

A non traditional burial service was held for Michael on September 5, 2023, at 11:00 am at The Wood's Edge Green Burial. He was laid to rest surrounded by the nature he so loved, while the wind whispered for this generous soul.

Michael’s presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him, his spirit eternally residing in the hearts of those he left behind. His journey may have ended on earth, but his essence will continue to live within us all.
