In loving memory of Michael William Conway

February 17, 1954 – August 25, 2023

Mike Conway of Calgary, Alberta passed away on August 25, 2023 surrounded by friends and family. Mike is survived by his wife Dianne Conway and their eleven children: Jocelyn (Josh) Poffenroth, Jessica (Henry) White, Jordan (Mark) Conway, Jeremy Conway, James (Diana) Conway, Julianna (Nick) Contos, Jodi-Lee (David) Pelzer, Janelle Conway, Jacey-Anne (Jake) Gelinas, June Conway, and John-Michael Conway. He leaves behind fourteen grandchildren (Olivia, Jacob, Isaac, Abigail, Rebekah, Lochlan, Celeste, Tanner, Parker, Felicity, Emmett, Rosa, Charlie, and Bethany), two brothers (Andrew and Bruce Conway) and his partner Christine. He will be dearly missed by all of his family.

Mike was born in Stirling, Scotland to his predeceased parents, Andrew and Mary and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. He studied at NAIT in Edmonton where he met Dianne.

Mike was hard working, and a visionary. He started and ran multiple businesses, and was always reading, researching, and looking to further his knowledge and skills. This passion for learning was shared with his kids through conversations around the dinner table, and impromptu quizzes and debates when spending time as a family.

Mike had a unique dry sense of humour, and would often be the first one to start laughing at his own jokes. He loved to socialize with friends and family especially during Thanksgiving, which was his favourite holiday. He loved his children dearly and impacted the lives of many.

A celebration of life service will be held at Parkdale Grace Fellowship Church on Friday September 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
