Mike was a fantastic person and friend. I am forever grateful to have met him— even if it was “only” online as a former student of  Ernie Pyle Elementary School. May his memory be a blessing. Prayers for his family—I’m so sorry for your loss.

In a world that often feels too shallow, he was a man of incredible depth—his humor sharp, his compassion boundless, and his love for others unmistakable. He had a way of making you feel seen, even when he masked his care behind that signature sarcasm. His presence was truly one-of-a-kind, and his absence will leave a void that words can't fully capture. He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. I know all will miss him greatly, but his spirit, humor, and kindness will always remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear friend

Oh no. I had not heard. One of the finest people i was ever privileged to work with. Mike had a huge heart that he often disguised with his brilliant sarcasm. Most importantly, he made a difficult (impossible?) job fun.
May his family be comforted by good memories.
