Michael's obituary

MICHAEL ROBERT WARENDA / OBITUARY

Michael R. Warenda; Mike; Mikey; Grandpa; “The Boy Grandma”, passed away at the age of 84 in Belmont, Maine at 1am on July 12, 2022 at home with his granddaughter. Michael suffered from medical issues related to his cognitive decline diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Michael was born on March 24, 1938. Michael was married to Margarite Warenda, and they raised 4 children in their North Attleboro home. He was a successful bookkeeper for a local business, and after retirement, became very involved with the North Attleboro Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, and helping any friends or family in any way he could.

Michael was a devoted Catholic to the St. Mathews church in North Attleboro, MA. He was infamous for sharing his “humor” with everyone. He could never resist the opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a joke, even if they were a stranger. He had a passion for video games including Pac Man; Ms. Pac Man; Zelda and Dig Dug. He was always saying “Jeepers Creepers” when something irritated him or “We’ll See What Happens” when he had to do something he didn’t really want to do, but knew he had to. He loved his sweet snacks and required at least one yogurt each day.

Michael is survived by his children: Keith and Alice Warenda (MA); Kelley and Joe Tyler (CT); Kimberly and Robert Jancouski (FL); Stanley and Elsie Warenda (CA), and his grandchildren: Deirda Pitts (MA), Kristi and Pete Zarella (MA), Keith Warenda Jr. (FL), Kellie Harris (ME) and Joe Tyler Jr. (CT), and his great-grandchildren: Lola, Aaron, Dana and Penelope.
