Michael's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden unexpected passing of Michael David Tapley, age 44, on June 28th, 2024, due to a motorcycle accident. Michael was born on March 20, 1980, in Manteca, CA, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Michael was a beloved husband to Miriam Meza Tapley, devoted father to Tyler Tapley, and loving stepfather to Amy and Ashley Meza. He was the cherished son of Stanley(Mikki) Tapley and Cheryl (D.J.) Welch. Michael was a dear brother to Stacey (Hector and niece Jasmine) Ortiz, Anthony (Jennifer) Garza, and Ashley (Yemi and Nephews Jace and Seyi) Tapley. He was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Michael had a passion for fixing dirt bikes, making people laugh, riding motorcycles, and going on hiking trips with his family. He was baptized at Calvary Community Church when he was in high school. Graduated from East Union High School in 1998 and went on to become a professional truck driver. Michael also ran his own pool service business for many years in the Manteca area. He and his family attended Northgate Community Church, where they were active members of the community.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on July 20th, 2024,
at 9AM at the Chapel Of The Palms, located at 303 S California St, Stockton, CA 95203. Parking is limited first come first serve. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a Meal Train for Michael's wife Miriam and children
Michael's infectious smile, warm heart, silly jokes and generous spirit will be forever missed but never forgotten. Special thanks to Jennifer Garza for her help with the slide show. We would also like to thank everyone for their support, love, and prayers during this difficult time.
