Michael's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Lynn Spradlin, 50, of Dallas, Texas. Born on October 18, 1974, Michael passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024.
Michael was a devoted father and is survived by his two beloved sons, Jack Mulcahy and Ian Spradlin, and grandson, Anakin, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his loving father Micheal Spradlin and Wife Carol Spradlin and Sister Cara Hunter and Husband Andrew Hunter. Mother, Shirley Bishop and husband Shawn Bishop ; his brother, Charlie, and wife Karina Donaldson, along with Dillon and Adam Cromer; and his sister, Jennifer, and husband Rodger Shaffer. Michael cherished his family deeply and always placed them at the center of his world.
A man of great kindness and genuine care, Michael touched the lives of everyone he met. He had a unique ability to make people feel seen, valued, and uplifted, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. His warmth, humor, and generosity will be remembered by the countless friends and acquaintances he made over the years.
Michael’s love for baseball was unparalleled, and he dedicated much of his life to the game he adored. Whether coaching players on the field, mentoring young athletes, or cheering from the sidelines, Michael’s passion for the sport extended far beyond wins and losses. He was deeply committed to teaching life lessons through the game, helping players grow not only as athletes but also as individuals. His impact on the lives of those he coached and mentored will be felt for generations.
Michael’s legacy as a loving father, devoted family man, and compassionate mentor will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Iron Horse Pub in Simsbury, CT, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All who knew Michael or his family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life.
