Michael Santangelo, 41, Legend of Kenilworth, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, August 15th, 2019. Michael bravely battled various ailments over the years and true to the person that he was, he fought with a smile on his face. He will be fondly remembered by friends and family for his infectious sense of humor, spirit and most importantly his big heart. Michael brought joy and laughter to anyone lucky enough to have known him and we will miss our brother dearly.

Michael was a graduate of Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark, NJ, Class of 1996, and was a member of the 1995 undefeated state championship football team. Following his passion, he continued coaching football at Irvington High School and served as a board member of the Tony Siragusa Foundation. Michael was predeceased by his father, Michael Santangelo. He is survived by his loving mother MaryAnn, brother Joseph, sister Laura and his beloved niece Sofia.

Visiting will be held from 4pm-8pm Monday, August 19th, 2019 at Corsentino Home for Funerals, 620 2nd Avenue Elizabeth, NJ. Immediately following the viewing Monday night, friends and family will be gathering at the VFW Kenilworth Post 2230, 33 S 21st Street Kenilworth, NJ to celebrate "Sange's" life and memory. All are welcome to join in honoring Michael, Legend of Kenilworth. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Santangelo Family in Michael's memory.
