Memorial Video to our father Mike Roney with all our love. Beth and Jason

We will post a video tribute on Sunday, March 17 and thank you to everyone for your condolences. Beth and I bid farewell to my father with both sorrow and gratitude. My father’s journey through life was not without challenges. Despite the trials he faced and the mistakes he made, there was never any doubt in our minds that he loved us deeply. Growing up, we felt his absence and had trouble understanding many things. But even in his absence, his love for us was a constant presence in our lives.
He had his demons, struggles, and weaknesses but through his imperfections, we learned some of life’s most valuable lessons. For this, we are so grateful for the time we had together. We learned about resilience in the face of adversity, the importance of perseverance, and above all the power of forgiveness.
We learned that love is not easy, but it is always worth fighting for. We learned the mistakes of the past by ourselves or the ones we love do not define our future. He taught us the value of presence – of being there for the ones we love, even when it is difficult.
As we bid farewell to my father, let us not dwell on the moments he missed or the mistakes he made but rather celebrate the love he shared and the lessons he imparted. We will carry his memory with us always, cherishing the good times, forgiving the bad, and striving to live our lives with courage, compassion, and the love that he showed us.
Rest in peace, Dad. You may have been flawed, but your love was perfect, and for that, we are eternally grateful. On your behalf, we shall close with your two favored words: Go Cats!
