With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Ridgell, born on May 13, 1969, and left us too soon on February 23, 2024. Known fondly as Mike, his radiant personality and heartening aura will be profoundly missed.

Mike was a man with a huge heart of gold. He loved him some Kentucky “UK” basketball, bluegrass gospel music and many other genres of music as well. He was know to some as a friend, brother, uncle, son, grandson, PAPAW, and ultimately DADDY “pops”. He is survived by his son, Jesse and Laura Ridgell, daughter and son in lawAugust and Ashlee Stidham (Ridgell), daughter Amanda Ridgell, Daughter and son in law Jay and Krystal Brubaker, Grandchildren Grayson (Gray Gray) (buckethead), Skyler and Aiden Walling. Brother Brad Ridgell, Sister Andrea Ridgell, sister Gregory and Ronda Warren, and mother Debbie Midden, Best friend Leslie Scott Shuler, As well as many more family and friends! 

As we navigate this difficult time, we remember Mike not with sadness, but with gratitude for having been a part of his journey. He will always be remembered, deeply loved, and forever missed. We are proud to have known him and he will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts. I know his granny and papaw are having a blast with him as soon as he opened the golden gates.
