Michael's obituary
Michael was born on May 8, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Patrick and Marion Regan. He ventured to Long Beach, California to attend California State University, Long Beach where he met his wife, Linda. They married on June 14, 1970, and raised one son, Danny, and two daughters, Katie and Kari.
Michael had a passion for education and helping children find their path in life. He was a Speech and Language Therapist at many schools throughout Long Beach but found his true calling as a counselor at Bancroft Middle School and DeMille Middle School. He devoted his over 30-year career to the young minds in the Long Beach Unified School District. He was an avid golfer who used his love for the sport to run the 7 Iron Tin Cup tournaments for over 15 years to raise money for the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC #108). He was a lover of music and movies and could conquer any crossword puzzle. He was a loyal friend and brother and will always be known for his quick wit and ability to find the song in every conversation.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda, his three children, Danny Regan (Monica), Katie Raley (Alec), and Kari Cho (Toby), his five grandchildren, Malayna, Samantha, Dean, Maddie, and Darcy, and his sister Erin Fadeski and brother Dennis Regan. There will be no formal memorial service at this time. Those that knew and loved Mike will know how to celebrate his life.
