Michael's obituary
Michael Lee Raba passed away, after a brief illness, on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael was born and raised in South Florida, alongside his brother, Richard, and sisters Karen and Wendy. Michael was a born fisherman, who was on a fishing boat less than 24 hours after his birth. He had a challenging youth that molded him into a man of great strength and purpose. He led those around him through example of his great patience, humility, respect for women, and the importance of the love of family and the memories you create with them. Michael had a profound love and respect for the land God blessed us with, and he saw the beauty in the colors and wildlife all around. With this connection, it ignited an energy and love within him, leading to a life as a boat captain, cherishing the relationships formed with those who shared in his journey.
Michael had three children, Jessica, Michael Jr., and Jason. He taught them to protect one other and stay close to each other's hearts. Michael leaves behind a loving wife, Charity Raba, and her two children, Brenton Almeida and Kristie Contreras. Michael and Charity came together with the children they were blessed with and the loves of their lives, creating a family that is a glowing beacon of endless love, strength, and unity. Michael and Charity are blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren (Makayla, Owen, Ali, Belle, Flynn, Aidan, Everett, Luna, and Sebastian). They represent the legacy of a great man who gave his whole soul to the world around him. Michael will be greatly missed by his family and all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
