Mike's obituary

Michael (Mike) E. Provance, 68, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on February 26, 2023.

Mike was born on August 24, 1954 to Merlin and Ruby Provance. He graduated from Xenia High School (Ohio) in 1972. He went on to play football for West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia where he participated in the Peach Bowl as a freshman under the coaching of Bobby Bowden. Mike was passionate about barbecue, operating the Freebird Trailer Park BBQ food truck and winning awards in Texas and Ohio.

Mike was predeceased by Merlin Provance (father) and Tamara Provance Bolender (sister). He is survived by Ruby Provance (mother), Chad Bolender (nephew), Chase Bolender (nephew), Jennifer Bolender (wife of Chad), and his grandnieces Imogen Bolender, Tammy Bolender, Charlotte Bolender, and Madeline Bolender. In addition, he is survived by Ronald Bolender (brother-in-law) and Connie Pence (special friend).
