Michael Allen Proffit, age 36, passed away April 26, 2026, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio. 

He was born September 29, 1989, in Troy, Ohio, a son of the late Gary Proffit and Connie Ivey (Gary). 

Michael loved trains, cars, space, and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time with his partner, Maka, watching Science Fiction movies and listening to their favorite song, "Twin Flame" by Machine Gun Kelly. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Rodney and Elizabeth Hissong, and grandfathers, Don Heath and Tracie Cook.

He is survived by three children, Morgen,  Alice, and Kody Proffit of West Milton, Ohio. His grandmothers Linda Heath of West Milton, Ohio, and Belinda Cook of Springsboro, Ohio. His brothers Christopher Proffit (Kristina) of Piqua, Ohio, and Harry Weiss of West Milton, Ohio, and his two nieces, Aurora and McKenzie Proffit of Piqua, Ohio. As well as his long-time girlfriend, Maka Zickgraf of Dayton, Ohio. 

Michael will be greatly missed and forever remembered. A small celebration of life to honor his memory will be announced at a later time.
