Porcaro family, I have always had fond thoughts of your family when y'all lived in Florida. When we were get together for events, it was always a good time. Mike was a very special man, always made me feel welcome and always had a good joke or something funny lined up. In a time where I didn't have an older spiritual man in my life to look to, your dad was a great man to fill the gap.

Until I get to see him again, just know he was loved, as well as all of you.

My condolences for your loss.
Lynn & Family , John & I are with you on this special day thinking of you all and the love you share , Your home has always been a place of love and sharing with family and community , please know our prays and thoughts are with you today the days to follow .

Sending my love and condolences from Oklahoma.
Mike will be deeply missed! He was a dear friend and someone I could always count on to confide in. I always enjoyed his upbeat conversations and his deep love for the congregation. He took his responsibility to serve as an elder seriously even when he wasn’t feeling at his best. What I admire most though was his deep love for Lynne and his family. We long to see him again in the earthly resurrection with that beaming smile!

and always had a smile which made others feel comfortable; including me. Lynn enjoy those memories and know he will be among the living again soon. Acts 24: 15

As a friend, Mike was always the guy who could make you laugh, make fun of you and still make you feel treasured as part of the family. As a shepherd in the congregation, Mike was for me, as the scripture in Isaiah 32:2.... “Each one must prove to be like a hiding place from the wind and a place of concealment from the rainstorm.
Can’t wait until the time we are all united together.
We will miss Mikes smiling face. Don’t think we ever saw him without it. He always made you feel cheerful when he had a part on the meetings: at the Hall and on Zoom. You all became such a treasure in the Willow River congregation in such a short time. Our love goes out to you.

Mike has many great qualities, like kindness and his humor was a hallmark. He could do the short funny or carry it along for weeks!
We were so saddened at your loss. Mike was a great husband, father & I bet a wonderful grandad. He was a very good book study conductor and your whole family were so loving and gracious, very generous in your time and affection. We enjoyed so many fun game nights. Dawn especially enjoyed Mike and the family and all the good times she had with you. You came at a time when Ray was no longer himself, but Mike was always kind and supportive. I really have to thank you all for being there for us. We long to see Mike again, with his infectious smile, humor and laughter, with all of you surrounding him. Miss you Lynn, Lauren & Andrew and families. Think of you much more often than you know. Our love, Ray and Ruth Roeglin
Mike was my neighbor, friend …
Mike was my neighbor, friend and golf buddy. I and my family will miss Mike. His kindness and generosity was limitless. If I remember anything about Mike, besides his high golf scores, will be his smile.
I didn't know Mike long, but his loving concern as an elder in our Willow River congregation is something I will never forget. He is missed already.
Lynn, Lauren, Donald, Andrew, Elsa and Elaine,
My heart aches so much for all of you! I think about Michael everyday! I’m so glad we got to see you and Michael so much in 2019. I will forever remember the long conversations Michael and I had when he came to see me during my transplant! Always remember all the great memories you all shared over the years. Let them fill your hearts with love. I’m just a phone call or text away if you need anything! Love you all!

Lynn, Lauren, Andrew, Donald and Elsa. My heart is broken for all of you. I have no words that can bring you comfort, but since I experienced losing Johnny a year ago, I can share what I've learned. I have learned this past year that the grief you are feeling will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. Your memories of Michael are painful right now, but I PROMISE you that a day will come when you think of something Michael said or did, and it will make you smile or even laugh out loud. People always tell us to hold onto the memories, but for me, in the beginning, I had to live in the present and keep myself super busy to distract me from those memories and from my "new normal." I never say I am moving on, but as much as we don't want to, we must move forward. You will have days where you don't want to talk to anyone, and you just want to be alone and cry. Take the time to do just that! Something that comforts me is talking out loud to Johnny. I imagine how he would react if he were here. I talk to him and about him every single day. As your memories become less painful, share your stories with each other and with those friends and family members who surround you with support. It really helps to ease some of the pain you are feeling. I feel your pain and your loss. I have lost another brother now, and it's surreal. Michael would get himself into situations in his younger years, but always came out on top! He always made us laugh, and I am thankful that he got to buy that Chevelle that Johnny wanted so badly for him to buy, and that we got to spend so many fun and happy times with him in 2019! I am so, so sorry for your loss. Please reach out anytime, day or night if you want to talk or share stories. I'll always be here for you, and I love you. Chris
