Mike didn't know me but I knew him. As a boy of about 10, I would go to the Serra Gym and watch Serra's basketball team play. I remember Mike's talent as if it was yesterday. What great teams the 74 and 75 teams were. Read today in the Padre Traditions that Mike past. So sorry to hear that but wanted to just share a great memory of him.

To Mike's family...

I was SO sad to hear of Mike's passing. I worked at Unisource and with Mike as my manufactures rep for many years in Jan/San. We all LOVED working with him! When we saw he was on to speak at our meetings, we were so happy. He brought humor, charm and charisma to his customers that no other Rep could come close to. He was so much fun to go on calls with and we'd always leave with the sale but always leave laughing as well. He left an amazing legacy in the industry and many people will miss him for sure. Debbie and family, I will pray for your comfort and peace through this grievous and difficult time. I can hear them laughing in heaven now! RIP Mike...Sue Howton

Michael, you were much loved and will be so very missed. I’ll never forget the Thanksgiving Day touch football games outside your folks’ house on McDonnell. I was the youngest cousin, usually the only girl there, and somehow thought I could keep up with all “the boys.” Rarely could I. But thanks for letting me try, distracting me from ripped tights and the inevitable crying, and carrying me across the goal line when you saw I needed the help. Rest in peace, my cousin.
