Michael's obituary
Michael D. O’Carroll, 64, of Milton, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2026 from a heart attack. He was born January 24, 1962 in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is survived by his wife, Daphne, and three daughters, Michelle, Nicole, and Madison. We are heartbroken by this loss and are immensely grateful for the outpouring of support while navigating this life-altering change.
Mike had a knack for bringing people together. He wanted few things more than to have intimate, vulnerable relationships with the people he cared about. He was unabashedly loud, jovial, and joyous - a reminder that we should all be unashamed to be our true selves, to speak loudly about our love for those around us, and to navigate the hardest times with optimism and gratitude. We invite you to share your own memories and photos of Mike on the Memories tab.
Mike spent much of recent years reflecting on the concept of grace. He was deeply moved by the power of forgiveness and how it gives us the space to heal and grow, even when we feel undeserving. In his honor, we encourage all those who knew Mike to embrace the concept of grace and unconditional kindness in your everyday life. In this time of grief, demonstrating love and kindness is the most powerful way we can support each other and help Mike live on through each of us.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Iron Horse Golf Club in Milton, Georgia. You can view event details and RSVP on the Events tab of this website. RSVPs are not required for the celebration of life, but will assist us in planning for food and drinks. Guests are encouraged to dress in colorful “tropical best” (Hawaiian shirts or coastal wear). We will have a remembrance program for the first hour, but welcome anyone who cannot attend the entire event to drop in after 3 PM.
If you are arriving from out of town on or before Friday, we invite you to join us for a casual dinner at the Golf Club. We request that you do RSVP to this dinner if you plan on attending so the club can set up an appropriate space based on our group’s size.
