Michael Stephan Nunnink Sr., 60, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2019 in Waynesville, NC. He was born to his parents; Leonard and June, in 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri and was the sibling of 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He spent much of his adult life in Southwest Florida working as a professional golfer and golf instructor. He is survived by his 3 children, Michael, Justin, and Nichole, and 2 young granddaughters Eliana and Hannah. During his life Michael most enjoyed being a father and grandfather, studying scripture, playing golf, fishing and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. An intimate family gathering to honor his life was held on March, 14th in Lake Junaluska, NC. Respectfully, donations may be made to the Haywood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center; 516 N Wall St, Waynesville NC, 28786 where Michael spent his final days in their excellent care. He will be well missed by friends and family alike.
