Michael's obituary

Michael Scott Mullin, late of Narvon, Pennsylvania, passed away at home surrounded by his family on October 31, 2022.

Scott was born on December 30, 1963, in Germany. He Graduated Daniel Boone High School in 1982, where he made All County in football. He worked for his family’s business, Richard Mullin Sandblasting. Over his career, he repointed most of the buildings in the Hanover and New Oxford circles, along with many other historic structures in town.

A devoted father, Scott shared a close bond with his only daughter, Cara. A fan of sports, he coached his daughter in both basketball and softball for eight years, winning quite a few championships together. Scott went on to follow in his father’s footsteps by racing in Summits Point, West Virginia, and eventually won the title of Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series Champion.

A born storyteller, Scott could typically be found sitting by the fire with family and friends, captivating all with his wit and anecdotes. His loved ones have fond memories of family reunion celebrations and watching football together. A dedicated father, son, and a loving man, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Cara McGettigan; his mother, Sandra Watts; his sister, Debra(Mullin)Uhrig-Donald M. Uhrig Jr., Niece/Nephews Dylan, Austin, Connor & Elise Uhrig; Uncle, Ken Mullin(Moon); Cousins, Rick Northcraft & Dennis Northcraft-Cathy Northcraft; Alexis(Mullin)Ray, Ryan Ray. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Richard Mullin; brother, James W. Loose; Grandparents, Kate & Roy Mullin; Jane M. Strausbaugh; Aunt Irene & Aunt Betty Jean.
