Michael J. Morrongiello (1930–2026) passed away peacefully on April 27 at the age of 96.

A proud veteran, devoted husband, and loving father, Michael lived a life defined by strength, integrity, and deep devotion to his family. He had a beautiful love for baseball and found great joy in the game throughout his life. Above all, he shared an inseparable and enduring bond with his beloved wife, Jean Morrongiello, a love that defined him and remained at the center of everything he did.

Michael will be remembered for his quiet strength, kindness, and the unwavering care he showed to those he loved. His presence, guidance, and love will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his sons, Charles, Christopher, and Michael, along with extended family members. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean Morrongiello.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fives Smithtown Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service at 12:00 PM.

Burial will take place immediately following at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
