Michael Gabriel Meeks, 49, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on June 2, 2024, in Winder, Georgia.

Michael was known for his kind-hearted nature, religious devotion, loving demeanor, and sense of humor. He had a passion for camping, hiking, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by his daughters, Christelle Garrow and Marhisa Meeks, and his granddaughters, Madelynn Nolen, Mila Garrow, and Michaela Garrow. Michael is also survived by his siblings, John Meeks, William Okeefe, Shawn Okeefe, Amy Meeks, and Paul Meeks, as well as his stepfather, Bill Okeefe, and his nephews and nieces, Samuel Okeefe, Connor Okeefe, Samantha Okeefe, and Ansley Okeefe.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shelia Okeefe, and his father, Alvin Meeks.

Michael attended Avondale High School and worshipped at Grace Baptist Church.

A service to honor and remember Michael will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Bogart, Georgia. Pastor Jesse Braggs is assisting with the arrangement.

Rest in peace, Michael. You will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.
