In the early morning hours of December 2, 2018, Michael Lee Loggins went home to his Lord and Savior. While we are heartbroken over his loss, we take comfort in knowing that we will see him again, and that he is now reunited with his mother, Beulah Lou Simpson, as well as the love of his life, April Roxann Scott.
Born on April 22, 1957 in Douglasville, Georgia, Michael had a heart of gold and lived his life to the absolute fullest. He left his mark across the nation through his many projects for work. He had an eye for design and knew exactly how to fix something before it was even broken. Michael saw the beauty in the simplest aspects of life, and could turn something mundane into a work of art. While he was skilled in his craft, his true love in life was making others happy. Whether it was through music or laughter, Michael knew exactly how to leave you with a smile on your face. These unique qualities are exactly what brought him to find his soulmate, April.
Michael and April were married 39 years ago on December 8, 1979. While they both took different paths in life, their roads always led back to one another. April, who passed in March earlier this year, was a beautiful soul that shared many of the same passions as Michael. She could always be found cooking, teaching, or creating a masterpiece. She had a keen artistic eye with unmatched creativity. With an unconditional love towards their family and friends, together they laughed, danced, and sang their way through life, no matter what came their way.
Michael and April are survived by their greatest joys in life, their children, Tausha Lee, Christina Marquez, and Seth Loggins. They were also blessed by their beloved grandchildren, Nathanael, Rion, Jaxson, and Gabriel, as well as their many siblings, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held for both Michael Loggins and April Scott at the First United Methodist Church in Roswell, New Mexico on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
