Michael's obituary
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Leung, who departed this world peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born in 1956 in Hong Kong, Michael lived a life full of energy, laughter, and warmth. He had a gift for lighting up every room he walked into — with a smile that softened hearts, and a sense of humor that turned ordinary moments into lasting memories. His presence brought joy to all who knew him, and though his earthly light has dimmed, his spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of his family and friends.
Michael’s life was defined by his dedication, generosity, and tireless work ethic. A natural entrepreneur, he built his own business from the ground up, working long hours — often rising at 5 a.m. — to provide the best life possible for the family. His strength and perseverance eventually led him to bring the family to the United States, offering them the opportunity for a new and better life —for this, the family will forever be grateful for.
In retirement, Michael embraced the passions that brought him joy — dancing, singing, and discovering new food. He was a gifted dancer and a well-respected instructor, teaching not just steps, but the spirit and rhythm that make dance come alive. His talent earned him accolades and admiration, but it was his joy and generosity in sharing it that made the biggest impact.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife Judy, his three loving children — Simon, Andy, and Becky — and his cherished grandchildren — Mimi, Allison, and Harrison. His love for his family was quiet but unwavering, and his legacy lives on through them. His children will continue to carry forward the lessons learned from his father's strength, spirit, and character.
A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on October 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at East Lawn Memorial Park, followed by a burial at 1 PM at the same location.
As we gather to say our final goodbyes, we also come together to celebrate an extraordinary life. Michael’s lively, fun-loving spirit, his kindness, and his resilience will continue to inspire all who knew him. Though he may no longer dance beside us, his love and legacy will forever twirl in our hearts.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
