Michael and Winnie have been a part of my family, the Gibson Smith’s, ever since Erin and Gretel met at ballet class when they were three and four! My
Last photo of Michael is on August 6,2016 when Gretel and Brett brought their son, Connor ( my grandson) to St. John’s church to be Baptized.

Dearest Winnie -  I am so very sorry to hear about Michael's passing. You and your family have been on my heart so much. Sending you love, prayers and solace every day. Take such good, gentle care and may you know how loved you are.

Love and blessings,

Jen Yost

I had the pleasure of working with both Mike and Winnie at RLASH.  Mike was the Student Council advisor for many years.  In that role, he touched many student lives with his caring and compassionate demeanor.  He grilled the best burgers when we had our women’s lunches at their house!!!  I’ll always remember Mike as one of the “good guys”❤️
Mike was such a kind, generous & loving soul. My husband & I enjoyed our time spent with Winnie & Mike. They are wonderful friends! We will miss Mike deeply but will be there to support Winnie with much love.
Mike was such a friendly, warm person. He always had a smile with his greeting! So many students were blessed by being in his classroom and student council! It was such a privilege to know him.
Mike was one of the “ good guys”! He was kind, respectful, honest, sincere and a lot of fun! I knew him professionally as well as personally and I really admired his and Winnie’s love of traveling and adventure. I’m so sad to hear of his death but so happy to have met him and enjoyed some laughs with him!
Please accept my sincere condolences for such a wonderful teacher and man.  I had the pleasure of having Mr Kowalik as a teacher many moons ago.  He was such a wonderful and inspiring teacher. What he has done in his life and career has touched many lives in Red Lion Area.  He will be missed by so many! .May he now rest in peace!  ❤️🙏🏼
I am so very sad to hear about Mr. Kowalik!  He was a true favorite of mine. He was the adviser to the student council when I was in high school. I was on the executive board and I would always find Mr. K every morning so he could get me out of home room. He will most definitely be missed!  To know him was to love him!  Love, hugs and prayers to his friends and family!!  ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. You're all in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
I was very saddened when I read the news of Michael's passing. My heart goes out to Winnie & the entire family & relatives.
So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was my husband Ernie's best friend, walking to grade school and high school together, and sharing many scouting adventures. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
