It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Hofer, a cherished father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Michael departed this life surrounded by his loved ones on June 21, 2024, having been born to the late Samuel and Bonnie Hofer on November 8, 1950.

Known by many as Mike or Mike-Bod, his kind, outgoing, loving, and adventurous personality had a way of touching everyone he met. His departure leaves an unfillable void in the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

Michael leaves behind a family who adored him deeply. He is survived by his loving wife, Aileen Hofer and their daughter, Brittany (Ryan) Velasquez. His love and silliness will be missed dearly by his granddaughter. His legacy also lives on in his siblings - Bob (Cindy) Hofer, Patty Christensen, Nancy Engel, and Steve (Annie) Hofer, who will remember him as a guiding light and source of endless support. His many nieces and nephews will miss the fun and love he brought to every visit and gathering. We trust he is now reunited with his parents, sister Marsha Hofer, and brother Marty Hofer.

Michael's absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will be forever found in the laughter of his loved ones, the cheers of a Dodger game, and the wonder of the night sky and all it holds.  He will be greatly missed, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
