Michael's obituary
Michael Kevin Harvey
July 7, 1952 – December 10, 2025
Stanwood, Washington
Michael Kevin Harvey, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 73, from complications of Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (CAA), a rare brain disease with no known cause or cure. For the past three years, Michael was cared for at home, surrounded daily by those who loved him. The family is especially grateful to Jackie, Rachel, and Hospice of the Northwest for their compassionate and devoted care until the very end.
Michael will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him. He had a deep love for music and played guitar daily for as long as he was able. Gifted with a beautiful singing voice, he brought joy to many through his musical talents. Known affectionately as “#1 Silly” grandad, Michael delighted in spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He gave selflessly of his time and talents to numerous ministries, including men’s ministries, prison ministries, A Walk to Emmaus, Celebrate Recovery, and others. Michael also cherished time spent in nature—walking in the woods, mowing the grass, and woodworking with sticks on his five-acre property brought him great peace and satisfaction.
Michael’s family and friends rejoice in the promise of eternal life, as Scripture assures:
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
— Revelation 21:4
Michael is survived by his wife of 45 years, Terri Harvey; his three children, Sean, Katie, and Patrick; and his six grandchildren, Alex, Anna, John, Michael, Charlie, and Riley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Evoke Changes or Global Vision Outreach, causes that were close to Michael’s heart.
