It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Hanney, who left us suddenly and far too soon at the age of 48. A devoted husband to Kate, a proud father of his two boys Matthew and David, and a cherished son, Michael’s life was filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to his family.

Beyond his role as a loving family man, Michael was an exceptional friend, a hardworking and respected colleague, and someone whose presence brought warmth and positivity to those around him. His generosity, laughter, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and countless cherished memories. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.

A funeral service will be held at St. John's Dixie Cemetery located at 737 Dundas St E, Mississauga, ON L4Y 2B5 on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to support the family left to pick up the pieces of their life as they learn to live without him.
