We came back from the dolphin tour to find a very happy man making laps in the resort pool. Every time he got to the bridge, he got a refill. We were gone much longer than expected so he had been in the pool for some time before this photo was taken.

Deepest condolences to all of the family. Mike was a great guy. I’ve played hockey with Mike for years. We miss him in the dressing room already. Mike, the “Last Word” is truly yours.

That time when we “broke into” the trophy case at Larters to find our trophies from past victories. Beers may have been involved…

I remember so many Mondays that I would drag my ass into work and find that Mike had left me a CD (yes that many years ago) or a flash drive full of new music from newly discovered bands that he had compiled for me over the weekend. It would just totally brighten my day. Then we would compare notes and critique all the music like a couple of professional music critics. We talked many times about going to the Wacken heavy metal festival in Germany one day. We never got around to making that happen, but I have no doubt that the lineup of bands where Mike is now are all killer and no filler. You were one of the good ones Mikey!

What does one say at a time like this.

Long lost memories of when we were young, sleep overs, playing Kiss albums and doing karaoke in your parents basement before it was cool. (I was Peter Criss, he was Paul Stanley, taking turns to be Gene).

We would take a break between solos to torment you Jackie ( sorry for that).

As time went by and we grew older we only saw each other at family gatherings we would continue on from where we left off the last time we talked.

Cousins are our first friends and are the only friends guaranteed to be there for the rest of our lives.

He will be missed.

Many of my favorite memories of Mike is from Winnipeg Beach when we were kids. A few years later, we started a lifelong game of tag. You're 'it', Mike, till we meet again.
