Mickey's obituary

Michael James “Mickey” Gardner, 67 of Newnan, Georgia died peacefully on April 9,2023.

Mickey was born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 28,1955. He attended Ursuline High School and the University of Notre Dame. He married Elaine Bechtel in 1980.

Mickey had a long career in sales management working for companies such as Polaroid and Hoshizaki. He was a member of Dogwood Church in Tyrone, Georgia. He was an avid reader, swimmer, and car aficionado. He loved Notre Dame Football.

Mickey is survived by children Micah John (Whitney) and Abigail Christine (Craig Goldberg); siblings Jane (Jerry) Sullivan; Judy (Bob) Gibson; and Marty (Barbara) Gardner; numerous loving nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends. A celebration of life will be held in Youngstown, Ohio at a later date.

A memorial service will be held on April 20 at 11:00 AM (family greeting at 10:00) at Dogwood Church, 975 Hwy 74 N. Tyrone, GA 30290. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Rd #7225, Union City, GA 30291.
