It was such a shock to had learned that Mike passed. I am so sorry for your loss. He was so funny and a pleasure to work with. He will absolutely be missed.

Kara, I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Mike. Sending a warm embrace and all my love during this sad time. Wishing you and the children peace and comfort in these difficult days. Although my memories with you and Mike in Blacksburg were many years ago, they always hold a special place.

Kara - I am so sorry. I’ll never forget meeting Mike and then learning he was married to you! I’m so glad you all found such a happy life together. Please know you are very much loved and in all our thoughts.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Big Mike's passing. He was such a warm, friendly and loyal man.  Sending love, hugs, prayers and light to Kara, their children, and all of Big Mike's family and friends. <3

Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." 

I've come to appreciate Mike these last 10 years with GDIT. When he became my supervisor we argued as two old men would do yet, I respected him. He would hold me hostage on the cell as he drove home or call talking about nothing. We discussed finances, family, faith and much more. He knew I respected & honored him as well as his position. I will remember him greatly for the love he had for his family, his mom, his patience and his trying to debate with me. Mike will be missed! 

To his family,  my wife and I will continue to keep you in our prayers.

RIP Mike 🙏🏼 🥺💔 Will forever remember you as the sweetest, funniest & protective friend you were. We didn’t only go to school together we also were Apartment neighbors (literally across from each other) and you’d walk with my sister and I to the bus stop. Will always remember sitting outside our apartments talking for hours. Always made everyone around you feel safe and cared for. ♥️ 

Sending so many prayers to your wife, children, family and friends. Rest easy big Mike. 🕊️🤍

Mike was my team mate and the best Defensive tackle I knew. We were the big guys that practiced against each other sweating,pushing and leaning in each other. He made me a better Center. There were several times I had to ask him to take it easy on me.
Always smiling and always so nice to me and everyone else. It's hard to see him go so early in life. We love you Big Mike. Rest in peace Brother
