I have a lot of memories with Michael Doyle, but this is one of my favorites. We had the most beautiful sunset here and stayed far too long into the night. On our way down, without flashlights, it was dark and the trail was overgrown and nearly impossible to see; so we came up with a system. Together we would take the trail until we both couldnβt see our next steps- then one of us (mostly Michael, always a gentleman) would leave the second person at the foot of the trail (cawing like a crow every now and then) while the first person wanders until spotting trailhead and then carefully tracks their ground back to the cawing second person on the foot of the trail. We were both scared but the silliness of the situation and Michaelβs effervescent personality had us laughing through it all. We found our way in no time. Sorta. My condolences for all who were close and especially those closest to him. The light he brings to others has not dimmed.

Thinking of all of you today. Hope the "celebration of Michael's life" brings you comfort....This picture was the last time I saw Michael, he seemed to be on an upward path then. I am so sorry for him & all his loved ones that his journey came to such an abrupt end..
