Mike will always be remembered by me working on the Constellation  flight deck VA 27. He was all business until the sorties were off and then the jokes and a red button were on. I will remember him for his sense of humor and friendship.

Mike lived across the street from us for 19 years we lived in the neighborhood.  He made countless trips over to “supervise” what Jim was working on in the garage.  He loved teasing our daughter, who he watched grow from the time she was 2.

He had many witty comments, but just before he would head back across the street for home, he would say “looks like you are having too much fun!” and make his exit!  Those words ring in my ears still, whenever I am ready to leave someone and when we heard someone talk of Mike.  Our lives were fuller knowing him.

My condolences to Michael's family. I first met Michael when I was dating my fiancé  who was his neighbor across the street, and we would often talk about how he and her parents were the first to live in the neighborhood.
The best next door neighbors we ever had were “Mikie” and Jay.  Jay, we love you and you may not remember, but my full name is Michael Dean Godfrey 🤗

Mike  lived next door to my family..we moved to Ontario in 2014..my husband is not a man of many trades so having Mike and Jay as neighbors was a God send...Mike assisted us from time to time on some if not all of our home projects..when he could..we shared many stories about our lives, family, jobs etc..I loved hearing about his weekly shopping trips to the local Costco 😀 and his weekend dates with Ms.Patti...he was the nicest..sweetest..kindest person I've ever met ..the neighborhood will not be the same without him...rest well my friend..love
