So this is how we met. I'd worked part-time at the big DeltaK since Dec of 1978, and was hired full-time by Don Olynyk in June of 1980. I came in for one of my first days and the A-crew (helmed by freelance director and bigshot Ron McRae) was returning from a fruitful day of shooting. Part of the crew was this skinny young kid I hadn't met yet, so we were introduced by someone. And that's about it...nothing earth shattering or momentous, just two guys at the very beginning of a life-long friendship. I immediately found a kindred spirit in Michael; Three Stooges, hard rock, marijuana and girls! He had a wicked marvelous sense of humor, and just seemed to be cool beyond his years. We hung out, and I got to know that he was just a suburban teenager, still living at home and not quite on a career path yet...when I invited him to my big time city apartment on Diversey and Halsted Sts, he thought that was the coolest thing in the world! We spent lots of time together, working and hanging out after work, and when my lease was up we got a place together in Oak Park, right across from the Police Station. But that is a story for another time...

Michael. I hope you have found everything you are looking for. I enjoyed working and goofing off with you on the television projects. We both had a lot in common....work hard, play hard and laugh harder. I know there are a ton of people who would say the same about working with you. I uploaded the picture you loved. The one when we were shooting running footage for Honda. We always had a police escort, and Michael liked to "play" the criminal. They took him around Milwaukee with the lights and sirens going, and then "cuffed" him when he got back to our next location. Always a gas! RIP
