It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Michael "Mike" Damesworth, born on March 17, 1965, and departed from us on January 6, 2024. Mike was a man of hard work and humor, with a hearty love for the simpler things in life.

Mike was a cherished family man, survived by his children, Deirdre "De" Damesworth, Dylan Damesworth, and Piper Damesworth. His memory will continue to be honored by his loving daughter-in-laws, Gayle Pace, and Bethany Brown. He was predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Robert Alvin Damesworth, whom he lost on September 28, 2018, and January 1, 2013, respectively. His greatest pride and accomplishment were his children to whom he brought joy on December 1, 1997, February 3, 2020, and May 1, 1985.

Mike was a lover of food, his favorite being homestyle meat and potatoes, washed down by the sweet taste of Southern Sweet Tea. He enjoyed the classic twang of old-style country music, particularly the works of his favorite artist, Hank Williams Sr. When it came to the silver screen, the Rambo Trilogy held a special place in his heart.

Feet up and time to relax, Mike was a fan of reality TV shows like American Pickers and Storage Wars. He rooted for The Steelers and The Detroit Lions, enjoying the camaraderie and thrill of a good game. When the game ended and the TV turned off, you could find Mike out by the water, fishing line in hand. This was his favorite way to unwind.

Mike indeed lived a life filled with dedication, laughter, and love. His hardworking nature was visible in all aspects of his life, but most notably in the way he raised his children. His funny personality will continue to bring smiles to the faces of all who remember him.
