Michael D Patterson, 61, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Hospice of Central Ohio in Columbus.

He was born July 30, 1958, in Columbus. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Rockford, IL and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Michael worked for 32 years for the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. He served the Lord in ministry to children and their families at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo as the clown, Dr. IC Giggles, as well as in his home church, New London Alliance, through nursery care, children's ministry, and as a youth sponsor. In retirement he enjoyed working with the Erie Basin Resource Conservation and Development Council.

Mike loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and it showed in the way he interacted with everyone he met and through the peace he carried with him to the very end when he left his earthly body to be with His Lord. During his life he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, camping and hiking with family and friends, and playing pool and dartball with his brother-in-law and on the Rupps 2 league teams.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 31 years, Victoria (Alexander) Patterson; daughters Angela (Todd) Hester-Gundrum of Sylvania, and Michelle (Dan) Tiffany and Casie (Clint) Troxel both of San Diego CA; sons Richard Patterson and David Patterson both of Norwalk; brother David (Jean) Patterson of Cincinnati; sister Diane Schultz and mother Roberta Rideout both of Marion OH; and his beloved grandchildren Kylie and Alexander Gundrum, and Olivia and Drake Troxel. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Patterson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date when we can all meet together again.
