Michael's obituary
Michael B. Cummings II, 33, passed away on November 27, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Michael was born on December 25, 1990, in Cleveland, Ohio to Sonya Everhardt and Michael “Brian” Cummings. Michael grew up in Flint, Michigan and spent a few years in the area of Charlotte, North Carolina before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona in 2010 to pursue his college education. Michael graduated from Collins College in 2013 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Video Game Production. Michael’s post college career included extensive work in the computer technology field working for various organizations, which included, Asurion (Helpdesk Support Technician/Acting Tech Lead), Cardiovascular Consultants (Field Technician), Arizona Department of Child Safety (Sr. Systems Administrator), and Plexus Worldwide (Systems Administrator). Michael had an entrepreneurial spirit and worked continuously on helping his customers with their technology and mechanical needs. His companies, ByteWiseMike, and Mikes Auto Rescue had both recently launched and were doing well servicing new and existing customers.
Michael had a beautiful smile that shone often, he laughed easily, stayed well connected with family and friends, and was known for his good nature. Michael was excellent with technology and could solve just about any IT issue. He loved playing chess, video games, watching cartoons, researching online, listening to music, hiking mountains, and most of all spending time with family and friends. When faced with challenges or adversities, Michael always remained positive and sought solutions. He was a giving and caring person, a true light of positivity. Most of all, Michael loved his daughter Autumn; she was his pride and joy. He is loved by so many and will be truly missed, always.
Michael is survived by his daughter Autumn Cummings, mother Sonya (Jason) Everhardt, Dad Therald "Stuart" (JT) Caldwell, father Michael (Monique) Cummings, grandmothers Leanna Crider, Juanita Cummings (Muhammad), sisters Evelyn Caldwell, Kymbreanna Caldwell, Monique Cummings, Malia Cummings, brothers Isaac Caldwell, Miles Cummings, aunts Carol (Tim) Collins, Joyce (Vincent) Anderson, uncles Lasana “Ako” (Tara) Crider, Hasani Crider, Salih Crider, Erias (Sheila) Bennett, Michael Bennett, Justin Cummings-Lynch, cousins Jarell (Erica) Bennett, Jennifer (Ziggy) Turner, Carl Prince, Jr., Tyler Crider, Tyson Crider, Clara Edgerson, Marjorie Wallace, Asia Wallace, Monica Brantley, Bre’Anna Ford, Taylor Ford, special friends and extended family Kris Rodriguez, Julian Harris, Melinda Robinson, Tamika London, Vinnishea (Destiny) Wells, Marsu Hussey, Tajh Finch, Sherrita Finch, Tixketja (Erek) Diaz, Deonte (Kristal) Finch, and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
Michael was preceded by his great-grandmother Ora Lee Bennett, grandfather Willie “Sam” Crider, grandmother Gracie Wright, and special aunt Sherrita McClendon.
The family would like to thank those who prayed, called, reached out, participated in his balloon memorial, and those who sat quietly and thought of Michael.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 1:30PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at E. F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home, 25900 Emery Rd, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128 (Cleveland, Ohio area). Repass to follow.
