Michael's obituary
A self-proclaimed “lover, not a fighter," Michael was often found running his mouth to anyone who would listen. One to spend hours online, baiting internet strangers to debate, Michael enjoyed getting any reaction out of anyone. Michael never knew a stranger and would talk to every cashier, server, telemarketer, receptionist, and individual. He usually ended each conversation with a “don’t have a good day - have a great day” and tried to leave a positive impression from the encounter.
Michael was a man who lived life in the fast lane, even when the lane was clearly marked "closed for construction." In his younger years, Mike worked in the food service industry. Michael was an excellent fine dining server. He had the gift of charm and would make your dining experience one to remember. He worked in many restaurants in Tennessee, Missouri, and Iowa. Mike had a twisted sense of humor and loved to be in the spotlight. Even as a child, there was always a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. After losing a leg in a fire, Michael would wave his amputated leg in the air, blame it on diabetes, and encourage fellow shoppers to watch their sugar intake.
His siblings find comfort in knowing he no longer has to fight the demons that he so often tried to drown. Michael will be remembered by his brother DJ, sisters Holly, Stacey, and Mallory, and sister-in-law Teresa. Michael will be remembered as Dad to his child, Alese. His nieces and nephews will remember Uncle Mike and his green spearmint starlight mints. Lastly, Michael will be terribly missed by his beloved cat Angel, who he took care of better than himself.
He was received to the other side by his Mom, Sherry Denmon, and his Grandma, Jackie Cline.
Michael’s wishes were to be cremated - to show the fire how to get the job done right this time.
