I saw Mike for the last time on July 21st, while visiting him at Johnston Willis.
He was really happy about the Yoohoos I brought him. We talked for a couple hours about cats, birds, raccoons, my late husband Peter, and lots of other little things.
His wish about the end was that one day he'd go to sleep and just won't wake up anymore.
I hope him and Peter are now up there, having a beer and a smoke together and having a laugh while taking politics and making fun of our neighbor that blow cleans his lawn after cutting the grass.
I'm going to miss his bright spirit, optimism, love for everything alive, and his cheecky laughter.
I know that all who knew and loved Mike will miss him dearly, but they'll have all the good memories of him keep his memory alive.
My heart goes out to all of you!💗

I had a conversation with Michael in February this year to tell him I was praying for him. He wrote: Everything is in His hands

I think Michael is probably hanging with St. Francis of Assisi so he can spend eternity with the birds, raccoons, cats, etc. He loved everything in nature.
