Michael's obituary

Michael Eugene Chandler Sr. "Mike", 70 years old of Alexandria, Alabama passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21st at NEARMC surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and JoAnn Chandler; grandson, Timothy "Aaron" Chandler, sister-in-law, Deborah "Debbie" Chandler, and by his great nephew, Samuel McCombs.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Deborah Chandler (his Sweetheart); brothers, Ray Chandler (Charlotte), Jim Chandler; sisters, Peggy Ford (Kenneth), Nancy Lumsden (Bruce), Jane Raby (Eugene); by his sons: Michael Chandler Jr. (Leslie), Joshua Chandler (Belinda), Jason Chandler (Shelley), and Adam Chandler (Janna), as well as his 19 grandchildren: Justin Champion (Natalie), Andrew Chandler, Joseph Chandler, Zachary Chandler (Ashley), Logan Chandler, Erin Cash, Noah Chandler (Alexis) (Ashton), Bethanie Chandler, Judson Cash, Logan Cash, Houston Chandler (Mattie), Cameron Chandler, Lillie Beth Chandler, Brelynn Chandler, Zoe Chandler, Cole Chandler, Lauren Johnson (Jakob), Aaron Cody, Brian Manear (Ashlie). Mr. Chandler is also survived by 11 great grandchildren: Carleigh, Eva, Macie, Olivia, Caiden, Dawson, Asher, Canaan, Cody, Dakota, and Luca; along with many brother-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews of whom Mike loved dearly.

Mike was a native of Calhoun County, Alabama born on September 25th, 1952. He lived his life dedicated to the Lord, his Family and his friends. Mike worked many years in the construction field and eventually started his own business installing gas log fireplaces. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite Alabama (Roll Tide). He also enjoyed listening to cassette tapes of Brother William M. Branham. Mike had a love for nature and enjoyed taking walks, sitting outside in his swing with his large glass of ice water just swinging being outside.

Mike will always be cherished and remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Father in Law and Grandfather.

His Legacy will continue on with his sons, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
