My condolences to Michael's family. I served with Michael in Vietnam in 68-69. I visited Michael upon my return to the states in 69. He even let me use his GTO to take a girl on a date. He always made me laugh.
I knew Mike for 20+ years when we worked together at the Cable company in S.F. He eventually hired me into two very responsible positions, and I worked for him for over 10 years. I still consider him to be the best Boss and Manager I have ever known. He taught me a lot about managing people and gave me the benefit of many life lessons. I cannot describe how much I admired his inner strength, and the calm way he was able to deal with adversity. He was a proverbial "Rock".
Mike, You were a manager I always looked up to for your selfless action and compassion. You have been missed since exiting the business, but your spirit continues to live on with anyone you have managed.
I had the distinct honor of working with Mike from 2005 through 2009. We got to know each other and loved each other as brothers. I spoke with him from time to time after I moved back to Fla. He spoke of being able to travel here at some point and he would have been welcome in our home. I dont let too many people into my life. I let him in. I have no regrets other than the hole left in my heart. He loved life. He loved his sons. He will be forever missed. Vaya con Dios amigo. Bryan "Gator" Wilson
