I live in California, my Brother lived in Illinois, I left California with nothing but some clothes and, something to eat on the train for 3 days. My brother was diagnosed with stage 2 Pancreas cancer in May 2019, July 2019 it had spread and he was at stage 4, I was able to make it on August 6, 2019, not once did I think to get life insurance on my brother, I just knew he was going to be able to come live the rest of his life with me, I haven’t worked a full time job since May 2019, and worried how I was gonna get to see my brother before he passed away, my 2nd daughter was able to buy me a one way ticket, and my 1st daughter lived 40 minutes away from where my brother was, so I was able to make it back to Illinois, still with no sure way to go see him, My 1st daughter got one of her neighbors to take us to see him on Thursday August 22nd, I couldn’t see him because of the pants I had on, but my 1st daughter was able to see him, to let him know I was coming back Friday, August 23rd, my brother held on for me! I was able to see my brother friday, and I got the phone call at 1:58am before day Saturday, August 24th, that my beloved brother has passed away. I was given the run around about getting his remains, I thought they would have cremated him, but no they was gonna just put my brother in a box and Buried him in potters fields, so since I made sure that they knew he had a next of kin, they treated my brother with no dignity. I just received a phone call from the funeral home that if I don’t pay soon, the state will pick it up, I don’t know what that mean, I just want to get my brother cremated and at peace. I did find a job, and started to work on Wednesday, but it will take another month before I can save the money to get him cremated, the original price was 1,200, but now it has a storage fee. I am looking for help to finally free my brother. I thank everyone that will read, and help me out, I just wanna thank everyone in advance for the kindness of your hearts to helping out a stranger...
