Michael John Brinker, Age 74, of Detroit, Michigan passed away on September 4, 2022, in his home. He is survived by his partner Maryann Johnson, godson Tyrin Johnson, father Richard Brinker, sister, niece, and nephew. He is preceded in death by his mother Donna Jean (Hayes) Brinker.
Mike graduated from John Carroll University in 1971 and worked for the City of Detroit throughout his career, most notably as the director of the Greater Detroit Resource Recovery Authority from 1986-2004. In retirement, Mike served as a board member of the Detroit Retired City Employees Association. An opinionated, fierce lover of his home city of Detroit, Mike could usually be found wherever politics, Pepsi, golf, and gaming were to be had.
