Known affectionately as “Mike”, Michael James Betteridge was born on April 27, 1955, and passed away in his home in Coquitlam, BC on December 8, 2023.

Mike grew up in Burnaby, BC and spent most of his life in the Tri-Cities area. One of Mike's greatest adventures was riding his motorcycle across Canada as a young adult. Many may have referred to Mike as a biker, but he preferred the term "motorcycle enthusiast".

He had an infectious sense of humour and loved nothing more than to make people around him laugh. Mike was passionate about nature and wildlife preservation, and felt no greater satisfaction than by soaking in fresh air along the trails surrounding Coquitlam River while walking his dog, Guinevere.

Mike is survived by his children Jesse and Lindsay, his sisters Wendy and Susie, and his brother Tim.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Elsie, and his brother, Jody.
