It is with sadness that we have just learned of Michael’s passing from Rita. Although our families have moved apart, I have many fond memories of my friendship with Michael as children. This was both in the context of our parent’s tight social circle and in the years we spent as backyard neighbours when living in St. Lambert. My mother Angela and my sister Leona also wish to express their thoughts and condolences to Michael’s family.

My sincere condolences to the family. Mike performed a kindness to me and my sister on April 3rd, him and Nick, Lino, and Gaetano came to deliver a message to us from our father. I will forever be grateful for this act of kindness. I regret that I will be driving back from Quebec city the morning of Mike's funeral and won't be able to come. I am so sorry for your loss.

Mr Mike was our kids' English teacher at Marie-Victorin school. Always a kind heart, a genuine smile, a teaching filled with laughter, care and great stories ! We are very saddened, especially the kids, by your loss and we offer our sincere condolences to the whole family. Un enseignant d’anglais que j’ai beaucoup apprécié dans deux de mes écoles comme directrice. Rencontré par hasard avec un bonheur partagé au Cafellini de St-Bruno récemment, après plus de 10 ans. Il nous avait invités mon mari, un skieur, et moi à aller le voir à Sutton. Nous avions également parlé espagnol et d’Espagne. Quelle profonde tristesse! Un bel humain parti trop tôt.

Mr Mike taught my 3 kids at Marie-Victorin. His style was unique and my kids always had the craziest stories coming out of his class. We are saddened to hear of this tragic loss and send condolences to his whole family and the whole Marie-Victorin family as well as he was such a long-standing teacher. He will be missed and remembered for his antics and impact.

Mike était un collègue de travail pendant 7 ans à l’école Marie-Victorin Brossard. Nous avions de belles conversations sur les voyages. Il était toujours de bonne humeur et souriant. Il aimait la vie et profondément sa conjointe Julie. Je l’entends encore dire: hi boys and girls aux élèves. C’est bouleversant et tellement triste.

I am a neighbour at the Archimedes Village and I am very sad to hear this news. So many times, with no hesitation, he would stop and chat as he would see me work in the flower bed. Taking the time to enjoy the day and exchange pleasantries.
