Michael Frank Atilano of Grand Prairie, TX passed away on November 11, 2021, at the age of 55. Mike was born on December 18, 1965 in Anchorage, Alaska to parents Francisco and Juana Atilano and raised in El Paso, Texas. He is loved and missed by his father Francisco Atilano, stepmother Elda Atilano, brother Paul Servantez, his partner of 22 years Martha Howard, his stepchildren Becky Howard, Cole Mistrot and Marilyn Cravens, son-in-law Adam Cravens and grandchildren, Dean and Kayli Payne, Kinley and Cason Cravens. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Juana Atilano and sister, Patricia Atilano.

Mike began working with horses as a groomer and trainer at a young age and traveled the country doing what he loved. It was through the horse races that he met Martha and decided his traveling days were over and settled down with her in Grand Prairie, TX. Mike cared deeply for Martha’s children and loved them like they were his own. His grandkids were the light of his life and he enjoyed being their grandpa more than anything. Mike had an infectious personality and a great way of always making people laugh. Telling jokes and stories were his specialty and cooking for his family and friends was his love language. All who knew Mike miss him dearly; his presence and laughter will be what is always remembered.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Haven Church of the Nazarene located at 1513 South Beltline Rd. Grand Prairie, TX. Lunch will be served following the memorial service at the church.
